The burger was really delicious and the special sauce is great for dipping the fries in! Gotta go here! Loved it for lunch. Duck sandwich and burger were amazing. Excellent salads. Truffle fries were ok, might try a different side next time. Seafood restaurant. Southern seafood staples served in sleek, light-filled quarters, with a patio overlooking the water.

Water front Location, Excellent food and friendly staff, what more can you ask for? The green beans and garlic mashed potatoes were seasoned well and my Shrimp were fried to perfection! Plenty of seating choices, tables, booths, indoor and outdoor etc… Will def eat here again! The first day we tried to come here, we were late for lunch service, so plan to get there no later than 1pm for lunch service as it ends at and you’ll likely have a roughly 30min- 1hr wait.

There is a bar you can get drinks from while you wait. We were seated on the patio which had a great view. The docks do have a bit of a smell to them, but that’s just the city, not the restaurant’s fault. The food was great, and the portions were decent compared to other places in the city. The oysters were fresh caught and though I don’t eat them every one else loved them.

Great place to go for lunch! The food gets a 5 star. We arrived in a Friday around noon, waited about 10 mins for a table. While we were waiting had two double vodkas short glass with a splash of grapefruit.

The meal was very good probably the best local oysters I have ever had. I had the Spinach salad which was excellent. My husband had flounder, very good. Would do it again without the drinks. Along with our meal, had dolphins make an appearance.

Make reservations if you plan on coming after pm. It was packed when we left. Brunch Hours: Saturday, 11 a. Stopped by Prohibition after we couldn’t find a spot for two in restaurant we originally were aiming to celebrate our anniversary and it didn’t disappoint! Cool atmosphere, friendly bartenders, we were able to order food and eat at the bar and had a great time! Both or my cocktails were yummy, smoked beef tartare was nice and fresh and hubs absolutely loved his burger Prohibition is a place worth checking out!

Went for a New Years dinner. The place itself is quite big and has multiple spaces, we sat in the courtyard and enjoyed it. This was the first place I went to in Charleston. I love the low lit speakeasy vibe.

The staff was dressed to match the place. Our waiter was extremely friendly. I got the burger which was delicious but also tried the shrimp and grits which was also amazing as well. Brunch hours: p. We opted for a tour of the distillery and it was fascinating, we learned so much! You can tell the distillers are passionate about what they do and everything is extremely high quality. The drinks were fabulous! The whiskey tasting was great, plenty of parking and nice facilities, staff could use a bit of training.

Over all great. Very good traditional distillery with a couple of well aged bourbon and rye spirits. Last but not least is a Carolina reaper flavored vodka.

They don’t have a kitchen, but dohave food trucks for weekends and events. Fine dining restaurant. Spacious, refined eatery featuring Lowcountry fare cooked using ingredients from nearby farms. Owned and operated by the Hall Family, High Cotton is an award-winning fine dining establishment that offers discerning diners a refined dining experience.

Located on East Bay Street, High Cotton features stylishly appointed dining rooms with heart pine floors and antique brick walls and serves dinner nightly as well as brunch on Saturdays and Sundays against a background of live music. The brunch menu features freshly baked pastries, scones, muffins and other sweet treats, eggs and crab cake Benedict, a variety of omelets and scrambles, brioche French toast, fried chicken biscuit, and a hearty burger, along with fresh salads, soups, and sandwiches.

Great food, great ambiance, staff was very attentive! Price was mostly appropriate. Got the steak and eggs, steak was cooked perfectly. Got the spicy bloody mary which wasn’t burn your face off spicy, so the right amount.

Girlfriend got the cinnamon bun which was insanely sweet and doughy. Oysters were a bit expensive so I skipped but they did look good. They also had live music at in the morning which was great. Overall I would go back, and the food was excellent! Absolutely amazing experience. From the moment we walked in to the time we left, 5 star all the way. Derrick was an excellent server. Chicken and waffles and morning veggie strata was delicious. Don’t leave without trying the pimento grits, so unique and tasty.

My family was recommended this place when visiting Charleston and it met our expectations! We shared the cinnamon roll and beignets, they were delicious! I got a crab cake Benedict and it was also delicious! Everyone greatly enjoyed their food! Another Broken Egg has become one of those breakfast spots with lines out the door on a Saturday morning!.

If you’re lucky enough to grab a table here, treat yourself to their Louisiana Crawfish Skillet- a southern twist on a delicious breakfast with country style potatoes and jack cheese that looks well worth the wait!. Terrific breakfast place. But we only had breakfasts here. In fact, it was so good, we came two days in a row. All other grits will taste plain after you try this one.

Good breakfast place in a diner fashion. Everything is well prepared and portion was quite generous for the price. Also we really loved the mugs and ended up bought a few, very cute and well made! Pretty stylish cafe , perfect spot for breakfast. My omelette with OJ was delicious. Big portions too. Menu is not huge but has just enough variety.

Service was fairly quick and prices are alright considering the location. Cool spot. The breakfast menu features a variety of fluffy omelets, eggs Benedict, yogurt parfait and bowls of berries, and Southern-style entrees like kale spinach hanger steak and eggs, crab and eggs, avocado toast egg sandwich, and the Charleston Red Rice Breakfast Hash. Spectacular meal. The salads were both excellent, and the roasted beets in particular done extremely well.

Limited outdoor seating currently but their patio should be reopened next month. Menu looked good and our appetizer was great. But unfortunately the service and main corse was lacking. We had to wait an hour and half for our meal. When we finally got our food my steak was not warm and pretty dry and tough.

The green beans were great but everything seemed cold like it was sitting for a wile. The manager did offer to warm it up but after that long a wait I was just happy to have the food. They did comp our dessert of beignets. They were delicious. Was mostly attentive but overall I was pretty disappointed. Looked like a good place and maybe I would try it on a different day. Great breakfast! Get the fried green tomatoes, seriously.

Almost life changing. All their food was really good honestly. Not a cheap place to visit, but great for special occasions. Has a great patio for outdoor eating. We made a reservation which I would recommend because they are very busy quite a lot. Barbecue restaurant. Show 6 more. Brunch specials vary by location, and not all locations will have a brunch special every Sunday. I fancy myself to be a bit of a food connoisseur and although I hand out a lot of 5 star reviews it is difficult to earn one from me.

Home Team BBQ; without any hesitation earns a 5 star review. The fried ribs were legitimately one of the best things I have ever had. In my life! The brisket sandwich was absolutely phenomenal as well. Drink and table service were excellent all around. The employees knew what they were talking about and were quick to offer great suggestions.

Overall the aesthetics of this place were fun and enjoyable as well. I highly recommend stopping here and eating as much as you can. A friend recommended this spot, so I had to check it out. When it comes to BBQ, I’m very serious :. The atmosphere and outside seating are fantastic. There was a performance stage, but the evening I went, nothing was going on. I got an assortment of food from chopped and sliced brisket. Collard Greens. The server was fantastic.

All the food was excellent. The brisket was the real deal. Great texture, excellent flavor. The ribs, boy oh boy, the ribs. This is some of the best ribs I’ve had in a long time.

The rub was spot on, with just enough sweet flavor mixed in with great spicy zest. The food was soo good I didn’t need any sauce at all! Even though they six sauces to choose from. The only thing that was not good was the Hash Rice, it was terrible, but it was my first time trying it. So no fault of the location. The server was trying to explain the taste, but I guess it is more of an SC thing. My son tried it and also didn’t like it. This is minor, but the food was not very warm. I would definitely go back here again.

A staple here in Charleston, home to some of the best dry rub wings around, and amazing frozen Irish coffees – this place rocks all the time and you will be coming back. Hamburger restaurant. A sister restaurant to the well-known Five Loaves Cafe, this laid-back Mount Pleasant hotspot brings local food and beer across the bridge in the best possible way, sourcing ingredients locally and seasonally whenever possible.

If you are looking for an honest good old fashioned burger, this is the place. There are a ton of options. Had the basic beef with cheese and was very satisfied. My friends had the blue cheese the other pimento everyone was very happy. Good, Solid Burgers! Truthfully I was debating writing this review because the issue brought up was made right by our waitress. Me and my girlfriend wanted to try this restaurant for the first time. Cons: Burgers Which is a shame because it’s slated as a burger joint.

We were served raw meat. The beef still looked like ground raw beef. The beef tasted raw, looked raw, felt raw. It was made right by our waitress with comping the food, however we only had a couple bites of our food before leaving If you want a spiked milkshake or some good onion rings, pretty solid! I’ve always loved Sesame Burgers, but this past order was just bad all around. My wife ordered curbside; get to Sesame only to find out there’s no curbside parking.

Park in the lot and call to get my food It was around the due time and was told it wasn’t quite ready yet. I wait 20 minutes in the parking lot, and finally call again to check on my food.

I was told ‘it just came out of the kitchen’ and would be brought to me. Get home to discover I’m missing an order of fries and a drink that apparently was ordered as well. I live less than 10 mins away, so I doubt the food that ‘just came out of the kitchen’ was hot and fresh. Track your travel spending and split costs with friends Plan your trip. Brunch hours: Sunday, a. Must-try menu items: Start with a mimosa flight, a bottle of bubbles and flight of juices plus nectars for everyone to make their own mimosa. Wonderful food, fast and pleasant service.

We shared the grits flight and each had an entree: fried chicken, pork chop and one of the chef selections. Fried chicken was crispy and juicy! Pork chop was so well flavored, and the waiter had great suggestions when navigating the chef selections. Great ambience and overall worth every penny. I looked up this place based on a recommendation and was enamored by the menu.

The food looked really good. Went to make a reservation, and there was one spot left at p. Upon arrival, people were lined up at the door, waiting to get in.

The hostess seated me at the exact reservation time. Hailey was my waitress. She made suggestions and let me know what the restaurants popular dishes were.

Jake, I believe he was the manager, came by several times to ensure I was enjoying my experience. Both were absolutely professional and helped to make me enjoy everything.

Now to the best part If I can sum it up quickly Absolutely amazing. Kudos to the chef! You have to experience it yourself. The Grit sampler includes sweet and savory.

The salmon dish just melts in your mouth. The fried chicken with hot honey was scrumptious. I can’t wait to come back to Charleston. They will most certainly see me again.

A long wait more than an hour! The grits and coffee are some of the best I’ve had in a long time. This is worth a visit. But make a reservation. Their selection was limitless. Since it was around lunchtime, we decided to order sandwiches to-go – chicken salad on a croissant and pimento cheese on sour dough. We chose pasta salad as a side which was very tasty.
