Their take cornbread was very interesting and super tasty. The gnocchi was a little different in that there wasn’t much of a sauce with it. Not necessarily a bad thing, just a little different than what we expected. The half chicken was amazing though. We rarely order chicken at a restaurant but this was done to perfection. Served in a baking dish, it is plenty of food for two plus leftovers.
Smyly was our server and he was fantastic. I highly recommend Rhubarb! Waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable about the revolving farm to table menu.
She helped guide us on choices – from small bites to shareables to main dishes. Wife loved her steak with locally sourced ramps. Maybe a bit overpriced. Overall, 4. Waiter was attentive. Wicked Weed initially offered 25 unique draft beers, but became known for their thick, hoppy, sour beers. For handcrafted brews served in a truly comfortable setting, scoot on over to the Wicked Weed Brewpub. At their original Asheville location, they have their barrel brewery setup plus a full restaurant, taproom, and bottle shop. The place to be IS their outdoor patio, however, which is built to make you feel right at home in an instant.

Wicked Weed serves up delicious sandwiches, burgers, and entrees to pair with their wide beer selection. My husband and I went brewery hopping and Wicked Weed was on our list. The service at the bar was exceptional. The bartenders were very attentive and answered our questions about the menu. We got two flights which are set. The set flights are highly encouraged and were very interesting.
They each offered a variety of beers with very distinct tastes. Family and I came for dinner after visiting the Arboretum and this place was a hit!!! Outdoor seating was a plus, service was quick, and food was delicious. Special mention on the beer! I shared a mixed flight with my sister and loved each one. I ordered the Carolina Bison Burger medium well with bacon. Really enjoyed this brewery and all the beers it offers. Loved trying all the interesting flavors like the Milk and Cookies stout, the brute ale-wine and the Kesho honey ale.
We also had a burger and a chicken sandwich that were really good. The place was packed on a Friday night. Posana has a dedicated gluten-free kitchen, which is perfect for my Celiac husband. Like Chiesa and Chestnut, Posana is the best restaurant in Asheville for celebrations. Went on a Wednesday afternoon and while the restaurant was more than half empty, we were asked to sit at the bar. Not my preference but we were hungry thus stayed.. Ordered the breadsticks before the main meal and thought they were very bland.
It comes with olive oil and butter and I wish they had added some fresh herbs to the oil to add more flavor to the dish. The trout and gnocchi were good.
The mushroom sauce on the trout made the dish. I consider those prices high. Service was good throughout. But, vacationing on a budget is a reality, and if I would have seen the menu and their prices before we entered, I would have picked another place to dine.

They have a garden out back and indoor, outdoor, and sheltered porch seating. The vibe of the peace is so chill, and the staff is very helpful. The food was great, and they change up their menu often. We got the shrimp and grits, chicken and waffle sandwich, and the lemon pepper crusted trout. The risotto in the trout was so amazing and perfect.
The food came out in a timely manner, and everything was perfect. Amazing cocktails. Got their gin cocktail and it was strong not that we minded. This restaurant from the people who brought you Burial Beer has plenty of outdoor dining on an open-air rooftop deck and outdoor picnic area. Oysters and bubbles more your speed for brunch? My family had a great experience here. We sat on the rooftop which was so pleasant. My family loved the drink selection although I do not drink. The desserts were the best part. We had unique flavors of ice cream such as fennel and anise. The atmosphere is great as well. My husband loves Burial Beer so we had to check this place out.

We enjoyed the beets, cucumber salad truly original , braised beef and gnocchi, and New York strip. All superb! The font was so faint and tiny. Brunch is a relatively recent addition to the menu at this River Arts District restaurant, which specializes in food with Hawaiian flair and has seating on the patio. You’ll find honey-guava butter with your biscuits and a massive and very photogenic Bloody Mary with a black lava salt rim and, of course, a skewered cube of Spam.

Great food, beautiful presentation and exceptional service. Everything we ate here was phenomenal. The pork belly was crispy and delicious, the garlic shrimp was perfectly fried in a light batter and were tender and not over cooked. The rice served with both entrees and the musubi was cooked perfectly. The lumpia was crispy and just the right amount of greasy you except with a fried spring roll.
Overall it was terrific meal and the ambiance was great. The location of this place is really cool. The artwork all around the building driving already put a great vibe on the location.
The inside is clean and cool art. It is noisy, at least during dinner. Awesome menu and great food. The s’mores are awesome! What a fantastic meal! The location is neat, easy to get to and with good parking. We made reservations and were seated immediately inside.
The mixed drinks, especially the Tequila Colada were excellent and visually stunning as well. We ordered the Teri Beef and Ubr Scallops which were both so tasty. The Teri Beef was so tender and paired perfectly with the mash, green beans, and the grilled pineapple. We finished the meal off with the Mango Basil Tart which has quite a kick to it with the chili flake. We loved it all. Our server, Heather, was very friendly and had great recommendations.

Serving up Mediterranean-inspired food like handmade pasta, stone hearth pizza pies, fresh salads, along with subs, burgers, and more. They offer one of the biggest dog-friendly outdoor patios in town with a prime location across from Historic Pack Square. Twisted Laurel serves delicious, creative comfort foods with an outdoor brick dining area in front.
We especially love to sample their featured cocktails, like the Limonata and Garden-tini. Twisted Laurel proudly serves as another hot outdoor dining spot in downtown Asheville. Their cozy patio comes complete with sunshades, live plants, and a mural. The twinkling lights create a soothing ambiance toward the evening hours as well.
The best of the best I have had on my short trip to Asheville. He knew exactly what he was doing, was so kind, and really overall was a perfect waiter. The food was so good. It was pretty packed, they sat us right down and our food came out super fast.
Highly recommend! As a mother of children to young to be vaccinated – I sincerely appreciated the fact that all the staff had face coverings. It made us feel a little safer on our first trip after essentially quarantining for almost two years.
The food was delicious. I left nothing on my plate from the lamb entree. The kids enjoyed the chicken fingers made in house and white pizza.
Not a huge dessert selection but the oatmeal cookie was so good we ordered another one. The staff also made sure we had everything we needed to assist with our kiddos. I had to come. The reviews were great and the staff’s hospitality was stellar and genuine – thank you Kaitlyn! It was really easy to make a reservation on Open Table via Google, even for one.
For the food, it’s a mixed bag. The Eggplant Sandwich is yuck. I couldn’t bite or chew the eggplant at all. When I took the cardboard eggplant out of my mouth, it was a skinny shaved piece of the skin that was hidden under the “fried’ part of the sandwich don’t get this.
I ordered it with a gluten free bun which was nice and airy along with sweet potato fries and those were yummy. The server was kind enough to ask me if I was still doing okay. Since I mentioned that I didn’t like it, she offered I order something else. I tried the Crispy Brussel Sprouts and let me tell you, those were delicious and just enough for one person. This was a nice, eclectic spot, with a dark ambience. We ordered the corn bread, brussel sprouts my fave , beef carpaccio least favorite , potatoes, trout, shrimp, and beef shoulder.
Drinks were great, I recommend the No Sleep till Brooklyn, and service was on point. Dessert was underwhelming, I recommend you skip it. Chopped Cut for the Moment main course. Service was good. The frites were a standout and rest of what we ate was adequate. We had a cute table that overlooked the first floor. I hope you and your pup have so much fun eating your way through Asheville!. There are so many fun places to try that we saw just driving around, I am sure you can find something to your liking if none of these sounded good to you.

Each day until 4 pm, they roll out all the fixings, so you can build up big flavor in every sip. Then, you can take it out into the courtyard to savor at your leisure. And for something a little closer to home in Black Mountain, the Veranda serves up the best lunch in town, plus a quiet little patio out back, perfect for enjoying an intimate lunch. New Orleans style decor with exceptional wait staff!

I loved this resturant! Valet parking was really quick and the valets were very friendly. The Cambira Hotel lobby has some interesting chairs I was dying to sit in.. We sat outside, and it was a bit chilly, but the view was excellent. Our drinks were strong too! The Cuban sour is actually quite sour. Highly recommended! The rooftop terrace with its expansive view of the Blue Ridge Mountains were amazing. Nothing beats that view! Food was mediocre. We had a few appetizers and several different entrees and all just missed the mark.

One orde veggie burger – bun was stale and was not appetizing looking as it was just a burger on the plate, no sides Another order, sliders – only two were served, again not appetizing looking, sliders on a plate no sides. Now maybe sides were an option, but we were not aware. The other two traditional Cuban meals were very tasty which was shared with everyone Churros and rum cake were a nice closer. The European-influenced menu changes with the seasons at this airy, light-filled eatery.

We had a seat in the window and it was perfect to enjoy our drinks, food and watch the world go by. The pastries were light and fluffy. The deviled eggs were define, perhaps the best I have ever had.
The lox was super fun and in a preparation that is like no other. Then we finished off with our mains of the smoked lamb eggs Benedict and quiche. The quiche was very flavorful and the lamb brought a nice touch to the dish. The owner is absolutely delightful and will likely be there to greet you. Great little gem in the arts district! Have dined at many Asheville restaurants, and Vivian is now on the top of my restaurant list when dining out in the Asheville area.
I definitely will be back for dinner! The steak was so flavorful, and tender. Eggs cooked so perfectly that I’m worried if eggs from my local breakfast spot back home in Raleigh will ever be the same.
The great part is that the food is only a part of the great dining experience at Vivian. Service was the highlight. Our server noticed something wrong with my order before I could even notice it myself. She immediately corrected the issue, before I could even have time to notice it.

Imaginative menu; everything was well executed and genuinely delicious. Attentive service plus great food – we truly enjoyed our meal. The smoked squash was particularly amazing. It would be easy to make a meal out of just appetizers, given the nice variety of options. A true local classic, The Social Lounge offers an overhead view of the busy city from their rooftop bar. The casual shaded rooftop offers city views with a touch of greenery for the perfect blend of ambiance. Also, enjoy these outdoor dining options in Black Mountain. For many years The Social Lounge was the only rooftop bar in town.
The intimate social Lounge rooftop is only one floor up- which allows for great views as well as superb people watching. Food was so good as always! He was pleasant and quick. Waitress was very detailed and just awesome. Food was tasty and filling. Great location and just cozy cute spot. This was supposed to be a special occasion We were so excited to come here and try it for the very first time.
Everything started out great and quickly took a nose dive when my wife ordered a dirty martini and it came literally dirty with black flakes in it. When we asked what it is the bar tender responded with “its from the olive juice and its normal. We didn’t drink it and still paid for it. The black flakes are not normal and should have been dealt with especially in a pandemic where everyone is afraid for their well being and like things extra clean.
We still had to pay for it. Needless to say the rest of our time was about as good as the dirty martini. The service we give a 1. It was very evident that our waitress didn’t want to have to deal with us since we had to ask for most items We’re guessing because we weren’t satisfied with the DIRTY martini even though we didn’t make a huge deal out of it. The food we give a 2. It was good but the food quickly became cold.
The dessert we liked the most and would have to give a 4. It was delicious and the fondue was amazing, but the strawberry’s weren’t ripe yet and the churros were harder then a rock. Sadly were really disappointed because it was valentines day and also our 13 year anniversary. We would have loved for this place to help us celebrate this occasion but it was evident in the lack of service and presentation that this restaurant was not a good choice. Maybe we caught the waitress, bartender and cook in a bad time This review is based on our experience and opinion.
We urge you to try it in hopes that you have a better experience then us. He was super personable and engaging. Our drinks were absolutely fantastic!! No lie. The other servers were just as awesome too! They talked to us and didn’t rush us at all. Plus, the playlist was BOMB! We’re definitely coming back! Brewery offering free tours of its facilities plus a low-key taproom to sample a pint or flight.

Great original asheville craft brewery. Unique taproom with lots of great beer choices. Excellent outdoor spot called “the meadow” on the side of the facility with outdoor seating, a stage, disc golf, volleyball, and more taps. Enjoy this awesome brewery, very spacious inside with great decorations all around. They even put shipping containers inside and converted them into “office” space, and the bar is quite impressive.

Located in West Asheville, the chicken shack prepares their unique fried chicken made to order with their special spice mix to bring flavors that are out of this world.
The Hot Chicken here is Legit! Skin is super crispy and flavorful. The sides were really good too. I recommend the fried pickle chips. The hot level of spice was just perfect super spicy but not so much you cant handle it. Get a side of honey to dip you chicken in.
We will for sure be going back. I definitely was not disappointed. The chicken was tender and very flavorful! I am a wimp when it comes to spicy foods so I went with the honey mild flavor and it was the perfect amount of heat.
The sides were also tasty. We will most be back for sure! Had a wonderful brunch here with friends today. Friendly staff, absolutely delicious food that will be sure to make me stop in to visit next time I’m in town.

If you’re coming for brunch make sure you’re hungry, portions are very generous including the mimosa flight. Everything was perfectly made with flavor and I left full and satisfied. Isa’s French Bistro is one of my favorites places to get some good food. Very Friendly. Salads, fresh-baked cinnamon rolls, shrimp over locally milled grits and a luxurious mac and cheese with Benton’s smoky ham are all on the menu at this downtown Asheville mainstay. Imagine my surprise when I learned that Mellow Mushroom was a national phenomenon, originating from Midtown Atlanta. Timing is Everything: This pizzeria is open from Sunday to Thursday, 11am to pm, with hours extended to 11pm on Fridays on Saturdays. The restaurant finds itself busiest exactly when you may expect: on the weekends, around dinnertime.
Smoky Park Supper Club. Standing alongside the French Broad at the edge of West Asheville and the River Arts District, the Smoky Park Supper Club occupies near two acres, and makes the best of such prodigious property via extensive outdoor seating. Dually notable for being the largest American restaurant built of shipping containers, and a seasonal menu currently offering oysters, muscles, and roast chicken, it is no wonder that the Supper Club is somewhat of a local phenomenon.
