This year, the event is virtual so you can pick your own path. The race is in-person, with a virtual option. The 10th annual 5K benefits Go Jen Go, a nonprofit helps financially support those with breast cancer and their families. The race concludes with a celebration. For those who prefer to take their runs through nature, consider signing up for the New South Trail Marathon. The Whitewater Center has tons of other races happening this year, too.

We will have some mascots out there to run and create some excitement as well. Depending on the numbers, we may have to break it down in to age groups for safety reasons. All 5K and 10K participants will be timed and will receive their disposable timing tag during packet pick up.

Top 3 Males and Females in all divisions will receive awards. As results become available, runners will be able to claim their awards at the awards ceremony prior to the last participant finishing. We do NOT ship unclaimed awards. Registration fees are non-refundable. Event registrations are non-transferable between individuals, events, or years. Walkers are welcome in the 5K only. The time limit for the 10K is In order to comply with the agreement with the City of Charlotte, streets comprising the route must be reopened to vehicular traffic on a set schedule.

There will be a medical tent located at the finish line in case of emergency or any medical needs. Announcements can always be made at the DJ booth as well. Races are held, rain or shine, unless Sisu Events determines that conditions are too dangerous. This will be based on a prudent decision made on race weekend or race day by Sisu Events and local law enforcement officials.

If the race is canceled due to inclement weather, there will be neither refunds, nor transfers, and the race would not be able to be rescheduled. You can park anywhere in the South Park Mall parking lots. We will have the area in front of Dillards roped off for the finish and the vendor area.

Local Food Trucks will have food for sale. We are so excited to have AAA Entertainment at the Start and Finish line to energize the runners and maintain the fun!
